Drug Testing Services We Provide

In response to requests from our DNA testing clients in the legal profession and social services, we now provide services for drug testing.

Many of the cases we deal with are of a complex nature and we have taken this route in order to offer a unified solution in support of decision making in family cases.

We use both our own in house facilities and a network of state of the art external providers to conduct a wide range of drug tests, including identification and quantitation in a number of different sample types.

Predominantly however, the need is for cut hair (often called hair strand testing) to be tested for the presence or absence of a substance the client is know to have been taking, such as cocaine.

This is ideally conducted from head hair, though other hair is possible. Head hair grows at approximately 1cm/month and this is used to determine either a window of usage or an indication of usage over a given time, say 1 month or 3 months.

We will arrange for a local sample collector to attend the client (ideally at a solicitors office or social services premises) and subject to the correct paperwork being in place, will turnaround the hair sample in approximately 10 days or, we will discuss with you any hearing dates.

A report will follow, adhering to the guidelines of the Society of Hair Testing*.

If you would like to discuss a case, request a quotation or place an order, please feel free to call us on either 0131 516 3966 or 0131 240 1280.
